FICCI & CFSI to organize Kids’ Entertainment meet in Hyderabad on 15th November

FICCI has partnered with the Children’s Film Festival India (CFSI) for the 17th International Children’s Film Festival India which is going to take place from November 14th-20th, 2011 in Hyderabad. Along with this film festival, FICCI is organizing a one day business meet on Business of Kids’ Entertainment on the 15th of November at the same venue i.e. Shilparamam, a 70 acre beautiful craft village located in the cyber city of Hyderabad.
The main objective of this business meet is to bring together the national and international stakeholders at a single platform to share their experiences for mutual benefits and to discuss the ways and means to promote kids’ content business as a profitable venture business wise in India. As FICCI has been working very closely with the industry and the government in the field of Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) sector to help this industry grow in India, it was thought to utilize the opportunity that is thrown open by this international children’s film festival to brainstorm to develop kids’ entertainment business in India.
This one day business meet is going to discuss on various topics concerning kids’ entertainment business including various trends that exist in the content viewing patterns by kids in India and opportunities that are there in the field of licensing and merchandising.
This business meet will also provide the opportunity for the Indian and international producers in the field of kids’ content business to interact with each other to develop business ties for mutual benefits.
This event is being attended by some of the most prominent international personalities in children’s film. Elizabeth Shepherd, former director of Chicago Children’s Film Festival and currently director of Seattle Children’s Film Festival, Zhang Yuan, Vice-Chairperson, Chinese Children’s Film Association, Xiaojuan Zhou, President of the Delphis Films, Mr. Andrew Ruhemann, director of an Oscar winning animation film, The lost thing, and Kikou Kawasaki, very senior American director are to name a few.
