This year MAAC & UNITED NATION INFORMATION CENTRE have joined hands to promote the 8 MILLENIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS (MDG) through the medium of animation. For the same MAAC students are developing films on the theme under MDG right from February 2011. 60+ films are being made by the MAAC students from across India.
Speaking to AnimationXpress.com Gaurav Markan, Vice President Industry Relations, MAAC shared, "We have already received 1500+ entries from countries like Singapore, Canada, Germany, France, Sweden, China, Pakistan and UK and we are expecting the entries to cross the 2000 mark. And all these films will be showcased by UNIC in various countries across the world".
24FPS is designed to provide a very unique platform for film-making with the medium of 3D Animation, Live Action and Visual Effects for the community of students, professionals and studio across the globe. The subject of these films is designed to bring global messages for the audience across the world and give the participants an opportunity to learn from world class experts of the industry.
Participants are encouraged to send their film entries on Millennium Development Goals set by United Nations.

24FPS International Animation Awards 2011 organized by Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) has opened call for entries for their various national and international categories. Deadline for the entries is 30th September, 2011. This year MAAC & UNITED NATION INFORMATION CENTRE have joined hands to promote the 8 MILLENIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS (MDG) through the medium of animation.
