Nagaon International Short and Documentary Film Festival - Submission deadline 31st July, 2019

After the successful beginning, CINEMALAY, a primary film institute based on Nagaon of Assam (India) is ready to organise the second edition of Nagaon International Short and Documentary Film Festival 2019. We strongly believe that film making is one of the most insightful mediums through which we can recreate the world, and should not have to stick to conventional principles in order to be celebrated. Our festival aims to promote those who create art through the medium of film and continue to push the envelope in artistic creation.

We are a film festival organized by filmmakers, cine lovers, film students etc. Our main goal is to reduce the distance in between filmmakers and small town audience. For that we ONLY concern about quality cinema and nothing else. No hidden agenda. Our only goal is to award the talented filmmakers that can be found all around the world - from all walks of life. That's why we accept submissions from any country, any genre, and any filmmaker.

Cinema of the World is a quarterly film event of short films

#CW - Cinema of the World is a quarterly film event of short films.

#CW is the first festival which is specifically created to help independent filmmakers to raise their awareness about the kinds of films made in the world.

Filmmakers competing in festivals are not bound to any condition which requires them not to show their films anywhere else. Rather awarded films will be given priority over others as it being the purpose of our festival to educate through the best. Still, all decisions will be taken by the jury and they will decide which films to grant submission for the festival.

Note: it is the sole right of the festival to which film to select and which to reject.

Open Window International Film Challenge

Open Window International Film Challenge is an independent monthly based film competition with monthly physical screening. Open Window International Film Challenge is open to all Organization /Agency /Independent /Producer/Directors aiming to inspire, motivate and award the true innovative and artistic geniuses of our time. Every independent artist hopes to one day emerge from the underground scene and share their talents with the masses. Hopefully the showcase platform we provide will help facilitate that dream. We’re excited to display a wide range of works from all genres that will have industry pros, filmmakers and film goers buzzing.

Every month, Judges will award the best films of each category. Every winner will be given the distinction of an Official Finalist of the annual event in which Judges and Audience will award the best films of each category. The physical screening event will be place in Kolkata

INDIA INTERNATIONAL DEAF FILM FESTIVAL

The Competition category for DEAF Films that was implemented in IIDFF to encourage DEAF Filmmakers a strong presence. The various sections under which the films are categorized for screening in IIDFF are DEAF Films and Non-Voice Film (Make by Hearing ) in International Cinema, Country Focus, and Retrospective.

The festival’s presence is felt on the web, social network sites, TV and FM radio apart from the print medium. The curtain-raiser events like press meet, opening and closing ceremonies, gala cultural shows, DEAF Film Forum Panel Discussions, Exclusive ‘Red Carpet’ evening screenings for an invited audience etc., all studded with film celebrities from international, national and popular regional cinema who will dazzle in the film festival.

Preparation for The INDIA INTERNATIONAL DEAF FILM FESTIVAL began in 2018 with a proposal from K. Murali to the DEAF LEADERS FOUNDATION WITH Directorate of Film Festival , at New Delhi , from 1st to 3rd February 2018. Upon approval, a committee was formed to begin the initial planning. The committee consists of members from the faculty, staff, students and community.
